The first Allegiant Air flight to arrive in Columbia, Mo. completes its final approach into Columbia Regional Airport on June 3 over the junction of Rangeline Road and Route H in Boone County. The flight landed at 10:39 a.m. from Orlando Sanford International Airport. Allegiant Air began offering the town's only nonstop flights to Florida, with flights to Orlando beginning June 3, flights to Destin-Fort Walton Beach beginning June 5, and flights to St. Pete-Clearwater beginning in November.

Brown was accused of involuntary manslaughter in the death of a baby who was found dead in a crib at Brown's in-home daycare. The cause of death was determined to be positional asphyxia with pneumonia as a contributing factor. The prosecution argued Brown placed the baby into a crib with unsafe sleep conditions and failed to check on her for an extended period of time.

For one night only, a modern downtown venue in downtown Columbia was turned into an enchanted fairytale escape: a ball inspired by the regency era of 1800s England and the Netflix series, Bridgerton. Patrons flocked to the dance floor to waltz, many donning floor-length gowns or suites, masks, wigs and tiaras. The ceiling and tables were decorated with flowers and butterflies. In the corner, a string orchestra welcomed guests into the ballroom playing instrumental versions of modern pop songs.
